Women with Disabilities Australia (WWDA) is sad to announce that Karin Swift has stood down from the role of WWDA President. We are happy to announce that Karin will stay on as a Management Committee Member.

Karin has provided exceptional leadership and support to WWDA over many years in her various roles as President, Vice-President and Committee Member. Karin was made a Life Member of WWDA in 2016 in recognition of her contributions.

We thank Karin for her time, energy and unwavering commitment to furthering the rights of women and girls with disability in Australia.

WWDA warmly welcome Iva Strnadová to the office of President, Fiona Strahan to the office of Vice-President, and Pamela Menere who will be continuing in the office of Treasurer.

Iva Strnadová is a long-term member of WWDA and has served as Vice President for a number of years. Iva is an Associate Professor in Special Education at the University of New South Wales Sydney, School of Education. Her research aims to contribute to a better understanding and the improvement of life experiences of people with disability.
