The National Awards for Disability Leadership are an annual event held by the Disability Leadership Institute.
They recently announced their finalists for this year’s National Awards for Disability Leadership, and among the finalists were our very own WWDA members. We were so proud to see their names listed, and all so deserving.
Stevie Russell-Farnham
Stevie has been involved with various projects at WWDA and is currently a committee member for the Toolkit Codesign Committee and Summit Codesign Committee for the WWDA LEAD Project. Stevie has also been on the Expert Advisory Panel on Our Site and has spoken at multiple webinars for WWDA.
Julia Bak
Julia Bak was a successful applicant for WWDA LEAD Scholarships for 2021.
Jenny Smith
Jenny Smith was a successful applicant for WWDA LEAD Scholarships for 2022. Jenny has also written a piece for Our Site called ‘Breaking the Stigma Around Mental Illness’, which you can read on Our Site – Real Stories.
Carol Taylor
Carol Taylor is a recent WWDA member and lead designer for adaptive clothing.
