WWDA is proud to release a new report, “Disability Specific Sexuality Supports,” which shares our community’s perspectives on the role of sexual supports and services.

This report was developed in response to concerns about the exclusion of sexual services from the NDIS.

We partnered with Associate Professor Roxanna Nasseri Pebdani, an expert in disability and sexuality from the University of Sydney, to conduct a survey and gather insights from our community.

The findings underscore the diverse ways in which a range of sexuality supports can promote inclusion, mental and physical wellbeing, self-esteem, and the exercise of fundamental human rights. The report also emphasises the importance of safe, accessible and trauma-informed services.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in the survey and shared their stories and insights. Your voices have been instrumental in creating this important resource.
