Senior Manager, Policy & Advocacy

Join Women With Disabilities Australia as the Senior Manager, Policy & Advocacy and lead transformative initiatives in policy development, strategic advocacy, and human rights advancement.

The Senior Manager, Policy & Advocacy will play a pivotal leadership role, guiding WWDA’s policy team and driving the development of strategic frameworks that promote gender equality and disability rights. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, including government agencies and advocacy groups, ensuring that WWDA’s policy work reflects the diverse voices of its community.

This is a remote role in accordance with WWDA’s Working from Home Policy. The successful candidate will need to exercise considerable initiative, professional judgment and ensure alignment with WWDA’s strategic goals through regular communication with the COO and other internal WWDA staff when required.

Management Committee Member

Women With Disabilities Australia is looking for new members to join its Management Committee (Board). This is a volunteer position where you can help to shape the future of WWDA. The role of the WWDA Management Committee is to set the strategic direction of WWDA and to govern the organisation.

To apply, you need to:

  • Be a woman or non-binary person with a disability.
  • Live in Australia.
  • Have been a member of WWDA for at least 12 months.
  • Meet legal requirements, including having a Director ID and a police check.
  • Have experience in governance or finance.
