In August 2022, WWDA CEO Carolyn Frohmader developed a call to action Fact Sheet for the upcoming National Jobs and Skills Summit which will be held on the 1st and 2nd of September 2022. The fact sheet was sent to relevant ministers and organisations who will be in attendance at the summit.
It outlines our right to work on an equal basis with others, ensuring equal remuneration for work of equal value (noting that assessment of ‘value’ and ‘productivity’ should take into account contributions broader than just work ‘output’ – for example value added to workplace culture).

The fact sheet includes a list of key actions to address the fundamental human right of women with disability to have equal access to employment.
The Jobs and Skills Summit will bring together Australians, including unions, employers, civil society and governments, to address our shared economic challenges.
The Summit and subsequent Employment White Paper will focus on:
- keeping unemployment low, boosting productivity and incomes
- delivering secure, well-paid jobs and strong, sustainable wages growth
- expanding employment opportunities for all Australians including the most disadvantaged
- addressing skills shortages and getting our skills mix right over the long term
- improving migration settings to support higher productivity and wages
- maximising jobs and opportunities from renewable energy, tackling climate change, the digital economy, the care economy and a Future Made in Australia
- and ensuring women have equal opportunities and equal pay.
