Strengthening the Voice and Visibility of Women and Girls with Disability, Keynote Presentation to United Nations High Level Expert Meeting on Women and Girls with Disabilities

In November 2016, WWDA’s Executive Director made a keynote presentation to the United Nations High Level Expert Meeting on Women and Girls with Disabilities. The presentation describes the human rights principles and framework that WWDA operates from, and how WWDA seeks strengthen the voice and visibility of women and girls with disability in the disability and human rights space. WWDA’s work at the High Level Expert Meeting over four days directly contributed to the UN Secretary General’s final report entitled ‘Situation of women and girls with disabilities and the Status of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Optional Protocol thereto’ (July 2017) [DOC].
