For our last episode of the series and of the year, guest host Margherita Dall’Occo-Vaccaro interviews Claire Bertholli, a youth leader in the space and all round activist involved with various feminist organisations.
They talk about the importance of young people’s involvement, advocating as young people with disabilities and being in feminist spaces where disability is not always at the forefront. Listen in to get to know Claire and her advocacy!

For our second last episode, Margherita, Youth Development Officer guest interviews WWDA Youth Advisory Group member and all round advocate Charlotte Young! Charlotte has worked hard to advocate for disability rights within schools and universities. They talk on the podcast to the importance of language and how it can differ across the disability community.
Episode 8: Jan Sam, Intersectionality Advocate
For our eighth episode and second of the year, WWDA Youth Advisory Group member Jade Taylor interviews Jan Qian Yee Sam! Jan is a passionate advocate on various issues, most notably Human Rights for refugees, migrants, and people with disability. Jan has been involved in a wide array of projects ranging from the Disability Justice Network to Democracy in Colour and has more recently started working with WWDA on a project investigating the experiences of culturally and linguistically diverse women with disability.
Episode 7: Ana Pike, Tasmanian Disability Advocate
For our seventh episode and first episode of the year, WWDA Youth Advisory Group member Jade Taylor interviews Ana Pike! Ana and Jade talk about her advocacy in the disability community, specifically in Tasmania and, for movements including the Religious Discrimination Bill and the NDIS. In 2021, Ana was the recipient of the award for Outstanding Contribution by a Young Person at the Tasmanian Disability Festival Awards for her work in this space.
