Sunny

WWDA in partnership with 1800RESPECT launched Sunny, a free app designed by and for women with disabilities in Australia. Sunny provides a safe and accessible space to learn about violence, understand your rights and access support.

What Can Sunny Do?

Sunny empowers women with disabilities to:

  • Tell their story: Share their experiences in a secure and confidential way.
  • Learn about violence: Understand different types of abuse and who can perpetrate it.
  • Know their rights: Access information about legal rights and protections.
  • Connect with support: Find resources and contact information for helplines and services.

While designed for use in Australia, Sunny’s easy-to-read content on violence and rights is relevant to women with disabilities globally.
