Our work is grounded in a human rights framework. We link gender and disability issues to the full range of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. We work to amplify the voices and experiences of people with disabilities who face systemic discrimination, oppression and marginalisation in relation to their gender.
We advocate for a world where women, girls, and gender-diverse people with disabilities experience full equality, inclusion, and freedom from discrimination. We strive to protect, promote and advance the rights, safety and wellbeing of our community.
Our community is diverse, made up of people with many different identities, backgrounds and experiences. As an intersectional feminist organisation, we recognise and celebrate the diversity of our community. We stand firmly against discrimination in all its forms and do not tolerate discrimination in our spaces.
We are committed to:
- creating and maintaining environments that are welcoming, safe, and respectful for staff, members and the community;
- listening to our community and learning continuously;
- ensuring that our activities, spaces and communications are inclusive; and
- taking meaningful action to prevent and respond to discrimination.
