Women with Disabilities Australia (WWDA) is proud to announce the upcoming Asia Pacific Women with Disabilities Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), set to take place on Wednesday, 27th November 2024.
This forum will bring together women with disabilities from across the Asia-Pacific region to collaboratively develop a joint statement on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). This statement will be presented at the 2025 Global Platform for DRR, advocating for inclusive policies and actions that address the specific needs of women with disabilities in disaster planning and response.

Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA)’s Policy Officer, Clare Gibellini will host this event and introduce the themes for the forum. There will also be participant discussions, a brainstorming session, and planning for next steps. Together, participants will help shape a unified voice for advocating inclusive disaster risk reduction policies.
